Custom cat window enclosures built for your home
Not a box you strap to a windowsill.
There are plenty of window catio kits online. This is not that. CatManDo designs and installs permanent custom cat window enclosures on Austin homes: fixed structures attached to or positioned beside the house, so your cats step outside through a window and stay secure.

Scale
From a window box to a full outdoor room
Right now, our window catios are essentially all custom. They can be almost exactly the size of the window, elevated off the ground, connected by a tunnel, or grow into something as large as a ten-by-ten freestanding catio that simply uses a window as the cats’ entry point.
Once a project gets large or complex enough, it naturally starts to overlap with a Signature Catio →

01
Window-sized
As wide as the window frame, roughly two and a half feet out from the house and four to five feet tall, under a roof that slopes away from the wall to shed water. Carried on triangular cedar brackets so nothing has to touch the ground.
≈ 4–5′ tall, 2.5′ out
02
Elevated off the ground
Larger units sit on posts where size, grade or drainage calls for it. Height is usually a feature, not a compromise.
≈ 5′ tall, 3′ out, on posts
03
Tunnel-connected
The window becomes a doorway. A screened tunnel carries the cats out to a larger enclosure somewhere the yard actually allows.
≈ 5′ × 5′ + tunnel
04
Ten-by-ten, window as the door
A freestanding room that happens to be entered through a window. At this size the project starts overlapping with a Signature Catio.
10′ × 10′

Connection
How a window catio connects to your home
The window and the wall
Every custom cat window enclosure starts with the opening itself: the exterior surface, and how the cats will get in and out.
Attachment and weather
Framing, roofing and connection details are selected for Austin sun, rain, wind and temperature swings.
Doors, tunnels and access
Planned so cats move easily and the window enclosure stays secure.
Window catio pricing and timing
Built for the heat, then left alone
Custom window catios typically start between $2,500 and $3,500, and most take about 2-3 days on site depending on size, access and how the enclosure connects to the home. Screening, framing and roofing are chosen for sun, rain and heat, with durable black screening detailed to keep cats in and bugs and other animals out. Once it is built, maintenance is minimal. These are permanent outdoor structures designed for years of use with basic care.

Project fit
Is a custom window catio the right fit?
We talk through home type, ownership, access, budget and service area up front, so nobody wastes time finding out it was not a match.
If you have a covered porch, a porch catio is often the better starting point. We will tell you which.
Window catio questions
Do you install kits or products I bought online?
No. We build permanent custom cat window enclosures designed for your window, your wall and Austin weather. We are developing a more standardized option, but the window catios we build today are custom.
Will it damage the window or the wall?
Attachment is planned around your exterior surface. That is part of the assessment, not a surprise during the build. The goal is a structure that looks intentional beside the house.
Can it grow later?
Often, yes. A custom cat window enclosure can be designed with future expansion in mind, so a tunnel or run can connect to a larger enclosure later.
